The Secret Test Kitchen...Shhh

The BurgerFuel Test Kitchen sits within the BurgerFuel Head Office in Auckland and is shrouded in secrecy. Well, the door is always closed, and we have to knock before we go in.

A creative kitchen lab set up to replicate a store kitchen layout makes the perfect testing ground for new cooking equipment and techniques, concepting and crafting new recipes and creations, and serving as a practical environment for solving real-world operational challenges faced by our frontline staff.

Headed up by our Menu Development team, the three amigos; Millsy, Cus and Gav, experts in burger craft with an extensive background in food and BurgerFuel operations, having worked as crew staff once upon a time. That background essential to mastering the Rubik’s Cube–level challenge of creating premium, gourmet menu specials that need to be flawlessly cooked, artfully assembled, and beautifully presented at lightning speed during peak service, all within a cramped kitchen space. No worries.  

The guys are guided by strong food values with an ultimate goal of creating crave-able, memorable and sociable creations(to be enjoyed with mates and loved ones) and the BurgerFuel food philosophy is pretty simple – authentic, no bullshit. This means flavour profiles that are delicious, uniquely BurgerFuel, have a good ‘stomach-feel’, and are made with only premium, quality ingredients. No compromises.
