BurgerFuel Kāpiti Coast Car Meet for good

On Sunday 21 June, BurgerFuel Kāpiti Coast hosted the mid-year edition of Burgers 'N' Cars Kāpiti, and the community showed up in force.

The event brought together hot rods, classics, customs and muscle cars for a free community car show held right in the BurgerFuel Kapiti carpark. Alongside the car owners, the day drew local enthusiasts, photographers, and families all coming together around a shared love of great cars and good food.

This year's event carried special meaning. For the first time, Burgers 'N' Cars Kapiti ran as a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, chosen in loving memory of one of the event's own hosts, who passed away after a decades-long battle with the disease.

Funds were raised through entry donations, $1 from every burger sold on the day, raffle tickets, and sales of a limited-edition souvenir tee.
‍
In New Zealand, 9 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every day, and more than 650 lose their lives to it each year. Every dollar raised goes toward early detection, education, and support for those affected.
