BurgerFuel Te Awamutu hosted Hamilton's own Devilskin to perform an exclusive acoustic set in celebration of their special side, DEVILSKINS, and it's safe to say the night was nothing short of legendary.
Devilskin are one of New Zealand's most celebrated rock acts. The four-piece, fronted by the powerhouse vocals of Jennie Skulander, alongside guitarist Tony "Nail" Vincent, bassist Paul Martin, and drummer Nic Martin, have spent over a decade cementing themselves as the country's premier heavy rock outfit. Their debut album We Rise hit #1 on the NZ charts and went platinum, while Be Like the River and their latest release Re-Evolution both repeated that feat. With anthems like "Little Pills", "All Fall Down", "Believe in Me" and the fiercely infectious "Barracuda" in their arsenal, they've earned every inch of their reputation.
The store had eager VIB Club members and fans lining up at the door well before opening time for their chance to meet the band and enjoy the set. Staff were absolutely buzzing, the energy in the room from the moment the doors opened was electric, and the queue snaking out the front left no doubt this was going to be a big one. The first 50 people through the door were shouted a FREE Melt-allica burger, and DEVILSKINS were being served throughout the night to a packed and very happy crowd.
DEVILSKINS feature crispy potato skins with chicken salt, served with XL BurgerFuel Aioli and APOSTLE crispy chilli oil. Whilst Melt-allica features smashed juicy beef, double melted cheddar fused together with a mashed potato centre and finished off with BurgerFuel Aioli and Tomato Sauce.
Devilskin have now announced their nationwide Be Like the River 10th Anniversary Tour this July and August, hitting Christchurch, Dunedin, Mt. Maunganui, Hamilton, Palmerston North and Hastings. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster and Event find a, so don't miss your chance to catch them live.
