MEET BRYAN SIKKEMA.

Bryan, owner of Ōtautahi Tattoo Studio Auckland, has carved out his artist journey through creativity and subculture. Growing up in the southern US, he was immersed in skate and music scenes where tattoos felt both rebellious and aspirational—sparking an early fascination that blended naturally with his love of drawing. What began as admiration eventually evolved into a career.

Now at the helm of his own tattoo studio, Bryan approaches tattooing as both craft and community. While he’s driven by the art itself, it’s the connections with clients and the stories shared along the way fuel him most. Constantly inspired, he continues to evolve as an artist while helping grow a studio that stays closely tied to its local scene.
