A bit about yourself (where did you grow up, how did you get into machines, do you do it solo or with mates etc.):

My names James but everyone calls me to JD short for James Dean

I’m currently 34 years old living in little old Upper Hutt. I grew up in Birchville Upper Hutt also went to Birchvlle school and Upper Hutt collage.

I got into cars from a very young age around 5 years old when my mum tina meet my stepdad Karl, he is a drag racer threw and threw so the days and nights hanging out with him in the garage building his cars while I watched being a pain asking a million questions I slowly but surely become fixated with anything that had an engine in it. Got a passion for go karting then moved on to my Nissan Skylines and Mazda’s in my late teens early 20s then on to drifting competing professionally in d1nz for the past 3 seasons in my 1000hp Nissan s15 Silvia. Now I’m onto drag racing again and fixated on beating some New Zealand records. We have a rather large team of around 12 which 4 of us race both in drag racing and drifting and follow each other around the countryside.

Engine: billet rb3.2 stroker

Driveline: billet albins st6 6 speed sequential, drews automotive twin plate clutch and prp 8.8 billet rear diff

Interior: factory gtr interior with a bucket seat

Exterior: ford focus orange with a gold purl

Suspension: mca suspension out of Australia and tsd adjustable arms

Wheels/Tyres: by the time this goes up we will have 15 by 8 boyd Coddington billet bead lock drag rims

What's unique or interesting about the car or how did you become to own it?

1500 plus horsepower says it all

I build this car with 2 intentions 1, to beat the current fastest gtr in NZ and 2, get it into the 7s

What’s your dream machine, if it’s not this one: this is it other than a r34 gtr
