Here's to 2025

2025 delivered peak chaos across the globe, but BurgerFuel marked the year with milestones of its own, turning 30 and celebrating with some of the biggest giveaways yet, including a fully customised Harley-Davidson and a top-tier sim-racing setup. Wild Heart returned stronger than ever, raising $30,000 toward a Fiordland processing facility supporting conservation across a million hectares. Shake Out dropped the fear-nothing “Dirty Little Secret,” Radio BurgerFuel fed the Aotearoa Music Awards after-party, and 62 lucky VIB members scored a year’s worth of burgers. Add in new stores, new fried chicken, returning fan-favourites, and a massive $20K summer party giveaway, and you’ve got a year truly worth celebrating.

INNOVATION

In 2025, we witnessed the power of IKEAs PR team, Katy Perry blasting into space like it was a quick Uber trip, Coldplay questioning if they’ll ever use the kiss cam again, TikTok going dark for 12 hours and sending Gen Z into full crisis mode, and even the Louvre dealing with a real-life heist plot twist. A year of pure, beautiful chaos.

But through it all… there was some serious light.

We turned 30. The big three-zero and we celebrated accordingly. We gave away a 2025 Harley-Davidson Street Bob, fully customised by Submachine Magazine and worth over $40k. Our lucky winner didn’t so much ride off into the sunset as carefully transport their new pride and joy home, but still, iconic.

We also gave one VIB Club member the ultimate Sim Racer setup worth over $6k. A brand-new PlayStation, racing rig, Sony headphones and more. Summer plans = sorted (and mostly indoors).

Wild Heart was back.

Thanks to rescued Wapiti from the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation, we raised $30,000 which is going towards a purpose-built, 100% crowd-funded processing plant in Te Anau. Raising over $2million so far, the facility will support game management across 1 million hectares, producing some of the finest meat in Aotearoa, and helping to protect our national park. Now that’s something worth celebrating.

To mark Shake Out’s 7th birthday, we launched the Dirty Little Secret, featuring double beef, triple cheese, pickles and Shake Out cheese sauce. Paired with BurgerFuel Cheesy Spuds and a classic soda, it was a meal designed exclusively for people who fear nothing.

In November, we gave away a year’s worth of BurgerFuel to one lucky VIB Club member from every BurgerFuel store nationwide. That’s 62 people dining like royalty for the foreseeable future.

The 60th annual Aotearoa Music Awards rolled around, and Radio BurgerFuel proudly stepped in to feed the After Party, feeding winners, musicians, icons and anyone determined to keep the night alive. Radio BurgerFuel also hosted Battle of the Bands (introducing Fan Club to the world) and an unforgettable Friday Night Bites with Che Fu, King Kapisi and Ladi6.

We shut our stores to celebrate our people.

We launched a new look, found on our new website, in our stores and even our logo for the eagle eye marketers.

We interviewed a stack of inspiring New Zealanders.

We brought back the Peanut Piston (you’re welcome).

We launched our very own Fried Chicken, found in the Drift Chick and T-Bird.

We opened BurgerFuel Royal Oak and BurgerFuel Te Rapa.

And now, we’re looking to shout one lucky customer a party worth $20K.

It’s been a lot, and we couldn’t be more proud.
