Radio BurgerFuel has long been supporting DJs of all styles and abilities, but we wanted to take it a step further so we’ve created Cut Class - a DJ school at our studio in Auckland. We think true DJing is an artform, and Radio BurgerFuel Cut Class is our way of helping pass on these skills.
For years DJs have been trying and out-scratch each other in community jams and battles. We convinced the boss to fund a large "office desk", but we also took the liberty to sneak in some DJ equipment. So we bring you what we believe is the world's first Officegon - a desk that unfolds into a behemoth housing 8 turntables. YEOW!
To put the Officegon to good use, we bring you Radio BurgerFuel Cut Class. It's our way of sharing some knowledge in the foundations of DJing in a set of classes with a unique grading system.
YOUR TUTOR - SCIZZORHANDS
He is Aotearoa’s man with the Iron Fingers. Internationally recognised with over 15 years of DJing experience. Scizzorhands will teach the foundations of true DJing and pass on his skills to the community.
THE SYLLABUS
Learning to DJ takes dojo level discipline. We've taken inspiration from various forms of martial arts and devised a ranking system called The Seven Levels Of Fury that will have you grade from a beginner (white) level through to advanced (purple).
