We wanted to spread the word about our latest special, the super Kawaii Harajuku Chicken Burger. How else to convey this masterful creation...this perfect union of cuisines, where east meets west, donburi meets the doofer and gourmet meets Gohkan...than with song? Karaoke anyone?
With the help of our mates at PlayStation® and a copy of the ultimate in competitive music video games, SingStar™, we hit the road and headed to stores across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Unassuming BurgerFuel customers were treated to Japanese game show inspired hosts and epic battles of song, from Lionel Ritchie ballads to John Farnham bangers. Store staff and customers alike shrugged off the nerves and belted out One Direction and Gloria Estefan jams like they were on The Voice, hoping for a chair turn. Ronan Keating would have been saying "I'm proud of yer, well dun".
