Burgerfuel Celebrates 80th Store

BurgerFuel is celebrating the opening of its 80th restaurant globally this week, with a third store for Christchurch in the brand new Spitfire Square retail development.

Located adjacent to the Christchurch International Airport, the area is the tourism gateway to New Zealand’s South Island. With the development located on one of the busiest roads in Christchurch, the new store is expected to be popular with tourists, visitors to the airport, local residents and the thousands of workers who commute to the fast developing business hub daily.

BurgerFuel Spitfire Square has been opened with existing franchisees, and long-time local residents, Malte Herzhoff and Stephan Schaefer who also own the very busy Riccarton store. They were impressed to have received over 700 CVs during the recruitment process and are pleased to be able to create a number of jobs for the Christchurch community.

General Manager of BurgerFuel, Craig Notman, comments, “It’s great to have opened another store in Christchurch, just two weeks after we opened BurgerFuel Papanui. Our focus is still very much on bringing our gourmet burgers to all of New Zealand and we have several more stores currently under construction in other parts of the country”.

BurgerFuel Spitfire Square is located at: Shop 4, Spitfire Square Shopping Centre, Corner of Memorial Ave & Peter Leeming Road, Christchurch International Airport.
